help institutions in the spiritual, religious and general education of staff and students by undertaking and/or promoting training programmes, refresher courses, research, etc.
co-ordinate the activities of the member institutions at the national or regional level to bring about greater unity and effectiveness.
represent the special interests of the institutions before the Government, Judiciary, University, UGC, NAAC, NCTE, AICTE, and other related bodies in academic matters and also to ensure the rights of Minorities.
provide a link between institutions and the CBCI.
encourage the institutions to make higher education available to the poor and marginalized especially of rural India.
The objectives of the society are to educate and empower. It shall strive to: Promote and safeguard the interests of Catholic institutions of Higher Education in India.
Concern itself with the spiritual, faith formation and well-being of students and staff of the member institutions through training programs, refresher courses, researches and any other related activities.
Co-ordinate the activities of the member institutions at the national and regional level, and to bring about greater unity and effectiveness.
Provide a link between the institutions and the Office of Education and Culture of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India.
Represent the interests of the institutions before the Government, Judiciary, University, UGC, NAAC, NCTE, AICTE, and other related bodies.
Encourage and support the member institutions to make higher education available to the poor and the marginalized especially of rural India.
Provide assistance to enhance the quality and excellence in all the institutions.
Form leaders with Gospel values with social commitment and to become agents of social change.
Assist the institutions in safeguarding and implementing the Minority Rights.
Encourage ongoing reflection to promote a national vision on integral development, collectively.
Represent the institutions in international associations and organizations.
Collaborate with other institutions having similar objectives, related to higher education, including ecclesiastical studies.
Actively promote the welfare of the institutions engaged in higher education in India.
Engage in activities that will promote the aforesaid objectives and to apply its income, if any, in educational endeavors.
Extend the benefits of the Society to all irrespective of caste, creed or religion.
Facilitate linkages within and outside the country.
Establish centers of research and publications.
Become a center of assessment and accreditation.
Establish and administer colleges, universities and Centers of higher learning, within and outside the country.
Acquire, own, borrow, lend and sell movable and immovable properties and assets and enter into contracts and agreements.
Establish scholarships, awards and endowments.
Generally to do all other acts and things in furtherance of the aforesaid objects. And to apply their profits, if any, in promoting their objects and prohibit the payment of any dividend or distribution of any profit, among their members.
